Samsung has started rolling out the official stable One UI 9 update, based on Android 17, to Galaxy S25 series devices in the United States. The release follows the software's initial launch in South Korea on September 28, 2026.

Firmware Details and Download Size

The stable rollout covers all four models in the lineup. Firmware for the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra carries a build version ending in DZIF, while the Galaxy S25 FE receives a build ending in CZIF.

Upgrading from One UI 8.5 requires a download of approximately 4 GB. Users moving from the One UI 9 beta program receive a smaller patch measuring roughly 500 MB to 530 MB.

Reported Features

According to SammyGuru, One UI 9 introduces several Galaxy AI features to the lineup, including My FanCam, which keeps a chosen subject centered during video capture. The update also brings a redesigned Now Brief interface, context-aware suggestions, improvements to Document Scan and Voice Recorder, expanded privacy controls, and a new Warranty and Care section in Settings.

Rollout Timeline

Samsung began its One UI 9 deployment on September 16, 2026, launching on the Galaxy S26 series in South Korea before reaching US S26 models on September 23. In the US, the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 received stable updates shortly before the Galaxy S25 series. While carrier-specific availability across US networks depends on staged rollout schedules, outlets report that rollouts in other international regions could follow as early as next week.
