Star Wars: Galactic Racer Is Free to Stream on Day One for Prime Members
Amazon Prime subscribers can stream the newly released $60 sci-fi racer via Amazon Luna without buying a copy or downloading files.

Star Wars: Galactic Racer launched worldwide on October 6, 2026, across PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S at a standard $60 retail price. Active Amazon Prime members can also access the title on day one through Amazon Luna at no additional cost.
Amazon claimed the release marks the first time a game has launched day-and-date on Luna alongside other major platforms. Prime subscribers can stream the single-player campaign through Luna's cloud service without purchasing a console or downloading installation files.
"Luna players can jump into the single-player campaign today without needing to own a console or wait for a lengthy download," said Jeff Gattis, Head of Gaming at Amazon. "And the best part: if they're a Prime member, they already have it at no additional cost."
Developed by Fuse Games—an independent UK studio formed in early 2023 by former Criterion Games developers—and published by Secret Mode, Galactic Racer is the franchise's first dedicated racing release in roughly 24 years, following 2002's Star Wars: Racer Revenge. The game launched with an aggregate score of 88 on Metacritic.
Rather than using traditional circuit formats, the game features run-based, roguelike racing mechanics. Set during the New Republic era, the story centers on a pilot named Shade competing in the Galactic League, an underground syndicate created by Darius Pax. The title introduces new vehicle classes such as skimspeeders alongside classic podracers.
Alongside the main story, GamesIndustry.biz reported that Luna subscribers can access Arcade and Scenario modes. Amazon has not stated how long Galactic Racer will remain available to stream through Prime, and it remains uncertain whether multiplayer modes are accessible on Luna without buying the game separately.
