Xbox Game Pass Confirms October 15 Departures, Led by Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
Sandfall Interactive's Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 leads a wave of titles leaving Xbox Game Pass on October 15.

Microsoft's "Leaving Soon" catalog update has scheduled an October 15, 2026 departure date for eight full games across Xbox consoles, PC Game Pass, and Xbox Cloud Gaming. Sandfall Interactive's Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 headlines the mid-month departures after approximately 18 months on the service.
The Mid-October Departure Wave
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 launched day-and-date into Xbox Game Pass in April 2025. Kotaku reported that players can rush through the 2025 Game of the Year winner's main story in under 30 hours, while a completionist playthrough requires more than double that time, approaching 70 hours.
The confirmed standard catalog departures set for October 15 are:
- Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
- A Plague Tale: Requiem
- The Casting of Frank Stone
- Pacific Drive
- Evil West
- Crime Scene Cleaner
- Donut County
- Nova Roma
Coverage differed slightly across tracking outlets. Kotaku, GameSpot, and TrueAchievements cited nine departing items by including the free-to-play title Superball. Outlets such as Pure Xbox and VICE tallied eight departures, pointing out that Superball is only losing bundled Game Pass Perks rather than exiting the catalog.
Member Discounts and Upcoming Changes
Game Pass subscribers can purchase departing games at a discount of at least 20 percent prior to October 15 to keep them in their personal libraries.
The upcoming rotation follows September 2026, when 18 games exited the service, including The Witcher 3, Cyberpunk 2077, Sifu, and Frostpunk 2. Microsoft has not yet announced the lineup of incoming games that will replace the mid-October departures.
